Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells – 16th October 2026

30th years on, Lee Brennan, Jimmy Constable and Spike Dawbarn proved that 90s pop still had plenty of pulling power as 911 brought their 30th Anniversary Tour to the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells.

Packed with singalong favourites, cheeky banter and more than enough dancing to get the whole theatre on its feet, the show was a feel good celebration of a band that clearly still love performing. And the audience fully embraced the nostalgia, many wearing T-shirts from previous tours, creating an exciting atmosphere.
The evening kicked off with a bang with the band’s first single from 1996, A Night to Remember. The fun continued with Don’t Make Me Wait and Wonderland, as the crowd quickly warmed up and joined in with the songs they knew and loved. Fans were up on their feet, singing along and dancing, with the enthusiasm spreading throughout the theatre.

Jimmy and Spike brought loads of energy to the stage, throwing themselves into the choreography with enthusiasm that made it impossible not to smile. Lee Brennan’s lead vocals remained crystal clear and powerful, retaining that youthful quality that helped make so much of the group’s music so memorable in the first place.
The set also made room for the more romantic side of 911’s back catalogue. Our Last Goodbye offered a change of pace before One More Time got the crowd singing again. The band moved comfortably between different moods, showing just how much variety there was in their music. Party People, Private Number and The Day We Find Love kept the nostalgia flowing and Moving On rounded off the first half ahead of a well timed 20 minute interval.

One of the loveliest things about the show was how much the band interacted with the audience. There was plenty of chat between songs, with the boys happy to share a few laughs and enjoy the attention from their fans, and there was certainly a lot of that. At one point, members of the audience even bought shots for the band. These little moments made the concert feel more personal, rather than simply being a run through the hits.
After a short interval, Rhythm of the Night brought everyone straight back into the action, not that they needed much encouragement. How Do You Want Me to Love You, while All I Want Is You delivered another dose of classic 90s romance. The second half continued with Love Sensation and Baby Come Back, keeping the energy high before More Than a Woman added another familiar tune to the mix.

There was something particularly enjoyable about seeing so many people completely let go and lose themselves in the music. For a few hours, the worries of everyday life seemed to disappear, replaced by catchy choruses, happy memories and the simple pleasure of a great night out.
As the show neared the end, I Do, The Journey and A Little Bit More, had the crowd singing every word. Then came the finale, their signature hit Bodyshakin’, which got everybody dancing and screaming at the top of their lungs. The affection between the group and their fans was clear, and the boys were more than happy to return it.

For anyone who grew up listening to 911, the concert was a wonderful trip back to the 90s, packed with songs that brought back memories and choruses that were impossible to resist singing along to. For the Assembly Hall Theatre audience, it was a night of dancing, laughter and unapologetic pop nostalgia. The boys delivered a massively fun celebration of their music, proving that great songs, a little cheeky charm and a room full of fans who know every word can still make for an amazing night out.
