The cast for the highly anticipated 2025 tour of Kinky Boots The Musical has been officially revealed, with some exciting new faces joining the production. Producers ROYO and Curve have announced that Newtion Matthews, known for Once On This Island, will step into the iconic role of Lola for select performances, including at Theatre Royal Brighton.

For the rest of the tour, the role will be played by Simon Snr. Alongside them are Kara Lily Hayworth (Cilla The Musical) as Nicola and Joe Caffrey (Billy Elliot) as Don, with more familiar theatre names rounding out the cast.
The ensemble cast includes Kathryn Barnes (Guys & Dolls), Lucy Williamson (Fame!), Jonathan Dryden Taylor (Fiddler on the Roof) and Liam Doyle (Heathers). The production also welcomes an array of supporting talent like Kofi Dennis (Hamlet) and Ru Fisher (Something Rotten!), bringing the energy and charisma that Kinky Boots is known for.

Previously announced leads Dan Partridge (Grease) as Charlie Price and Courtney Bowman (Legally Blonde) as Lauren will also be joined by Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes Radebe, who will take on the role of Lola at other venues during the tour.
Based on the 2005 film and true story, Kinky Boots follows Charlie Price as he attempts to save his family’s shoe business by teaming up with Lola, a drag queen with a flair for the fabulous. With a score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, the musical became a huge hit both on Broadway and the West End, scooping up numerous awards.

This new production will be directed by Curve’s Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, with choreography by Leah Hill and an impressive creative team behind the scenes including musical supervision by George Dyer, set and costume design by Robert Jones and lighting by Ben Cracknell.
Kinky Boots The Musical kicks off its UK tour in January 2025 and promises to bring plenty of feel-good fun and celebration of individuality to audiences across the country.
