Review – Peppa Pig World

Peppa Pig World – Paultons Park, Romsey, Hampshire, SO51 6AL

Peppa Pig World, inside Paultons Park in Hampshire, is the ultimate day out for families with young children. This themed area is an immersive recreation of the animated series that toddlers love. With nine Peppa-themed rides, indoor soft play, character meet-and-greets and themed food and drink, it’s no surprise that Peppa Pig World is one of the biggest draw of the entire park.

Arriving and Getting into Paultons Park

Paultons Park is well signposted and easy to find by car, with plenty of parking located just a short walk from the main entrance. The car park is free which is always a nice bonus. If you’ve booked online, entry is simple. Head straight to the turnstiles without needing to queue at the ticket counter. A standard day ticket costs around £43.50 per person when booked online in advance, with children under 1 metre going free.

The park opens at 10am, though it’s worth noting that rides in Peppa Pig World don’t start running until 10.30am. It’s still well worth heading to this area early as it does get busy. A handy tip is to download the Paultons Park app in advance. It shows live queue times, ride restrictions and maps, helping you plan your day on the go. We visited on a weekend and didn’t wait more than 15 minutes for a ride.

Peppa Pig World Rides: What to Expect

Peppa Pig World is designed with toddlers and young children in mind, up to around 6 or 7 years. Every ride is gentle, colourful and easy for little ones to enjoy. Most have no height restrictions, except for George’s Dinosaur Adventure, which requires children to be at least 0.85m to ride.

Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight is the most popular ride and often has the longest queue. It’s a rotating mini-Ferris wheel with great views over the park. The line moves slowly so we recommend doing this early if it’s on your list. Peppa’s Big Balloon Ride is another favourite, a gentle carousel-style balloon spin that little ones find exciting.

Other rides include Grandpa Pig’s Boat Ride, a water journey, and Daddy Pig’s Car Ride, which lets children take the wheel of a bumpy, winding car track through the countryside. The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride is a sweet monorail that offers an elevated look at the world below, and George’s Dinosaur Ride adds a small sense of adventure for children just over the height limit.

Don’t miss Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club, a spinning boat ride, or Windy Castle Ride either. Both are fun, short experiences that fit the same relaxed pace. The theming is consistent and recognisable throughout, from Peppa’s yellow house to the iconic muddy puddles. You can even go inside Peppa Pig’s house and see animatronics make pancakes.

Next to the meet and greet area, Mr Potato’s Playground is a fun outdoor adventure zone where children can run jump swing and climb under cheerful theming that ties perfectly into Peppa Pig World.

Character Meet and Greets

Starting on 1st June 2025, families can look forward to meeting Peppa Pig’s newest little sibling, baby Evie, during special daily appearances with Mummy and Daddy Pig. These character meet and greets are a highlight for many young fans, offering the chance to share hugs, high-fives and photo moments with Peppa and George in person at Peppa Pig World every day.

George’s Spaceship Indoor Playzone

George’s Spaceship Indoor Playzone is a colourful and well‑themed indoor soft play area nestled within Peppa Pig World, offering a welcome break from queues or unpredictable weather. It spans around 900 square metres and features multiple play zones tailored to different age groups such as a rope maze, zig‑zag obstacle run, glowing green slides and climbing structures for older toddlers, through to a dedicated toddler picnic play area with bumpers, the Tree House Rooftop and triangle deck climbs for 2-3 year‑olds.

The Recycling Centre is a firm favourite with foam ‘ball volcanoes’ where soft balls erupt and must be recycled back via vacuum‑powered chutes for repeated fun. Very young babies can enjoy the musical instrument corner, complete with a magic music machine, Peppa’s shape game and foam rocker dinosaur. Socks must be worn and children must be supervised. Comfy seating is nearby, making it easy for parents to pause while little ones explore.

Atmosphere and Experience

The whole area is bright, lively and unmistakably Peppa-themed. Character statues dot the landscape and Peppa and friends make regular appearances for photos. It’s compact enough to explore on foot with toddlers, but buggies are welcome and there’s space to leave them near each ride.

There’s an outdoor adventure playground, a splash zone called Muddy Puddles (perfect for warm weather) and an indoor soft play centre for rainy days. It’s clear the park is built with families in mind, and facilities are excellent, with clean baby changing stations in all toilets, toddler-friendly toilet seats and even microwaves available for heating baby food.

Food, Drink and Facilities at Peppa Pig World

Peppa Pig World has a few food options that are relatively reasonably priced by theme park standards. The Queen’s Kitchen offers sandwiches and paninis around £6, and Daddy Pig’s Big Tummy Cafe serves sausage rolls, pasties and coffees. Expect to spend around £7–£11 per meal. However, you’re welcome to bring your own food, and there are plenty of shaded picnic areas to eat packed lunches and save a bit of money.

High chairs are available in all restaurants, and prams can be hired at the entrance (£8 single, £12 double, with a £30 deposit). If you’re travelling with more than one child or planning a full day, it’s definitely worth considering. Free ID wristbands for kids are also available at the first aid centre to help reunite you if anyone gets lost.

There is also a large toy shop, offering a huge range of merchandise that includes exclusive items you won’t find anywhere else from bespoke clothing and plush toys to themed souvenirs and photo frames. Whether you’re looking for a Peppa‑themed keepsake or a gift for pick‑up on the way out, it’s a magical retail experience that fans of the series will adore.

Queues and Timing Tips

If you arrive early, it’s tempting to head straight to Peppa Pig World but that’s exactly what most families do. Between 10am and noon, queues in this area can quickly reach 20 to 30 minutes per ride, while the rest of the park remains quiet. If your children can hold out, visiting the other areas first and heading to Peppa Pig World later in the afternoon often results in shorter waits.

Queue times can be tracked via the app and are generally much shorter than at other major UK parks. There’s also a ‘Tot Swap’ system for bigger rides in the main park, allowing parents with small children to take turns without queuing twice.

Who Peppa Pig World is Best For

This is the world’s first and biggest Peppa Pig World. It’s is ideal for children aged 18 months to around 6 years. Older kids might enjoy it for nostalgia’s sake, but it’s undeniably designed for the preschool crowd. That said, Paultons Park as a whole caters brilliantly to mixed-age families, with over 70 rides and attractions across five themed zones, including Tornado Springs and Lost Kingdom.

Top 10 Tips for Visiting Peppa Pig World

  1. Arrive Early
The park opens at 10am, but gates often open earlier. Aim to arrive by 9.30am to park close and be among the first in the queue.
  2. Head to Other Areas First
Peppa Pig World gets very busy right at opening. Consider exploring other parts of Paultons Park first, then circle back later when queues ease.
  3. Download the Paultons Park App
The app is a huge help for checking real-time queue times, locating toilets, restaurants and planning your next stop efficiently.
  4. Bring Your Own Food
While food options are decent and not outrageously priced, bringing your own picnic can save a lot of money and gives you flexibility on timing.
  5. Do Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Ride Early or Late
This is the slowest-moving queue in Peppa Pig World, so either head there first thing or wait until later in the afternoon when it’s quieter.
  6. Use a Buggy or Hire One
Even though Peppa Pig World is compact, there’s a lot of walking if you plan to explore the rest of Paultons Park. Buggies can be hired at the entrance if needed.
  7. Bring a Change of Clothes
If it’s a warm day, the Muddy Puddles Splash Park is irresistible to little ones, so pack swimwear or spare clothes and a towel.
  8. Take Advantage of Tot-Swap
If visiting with a mix of older and younger children, use the Tot-Swap system to allow both parents to take turns on bigger rides without queuing twice.
  9. Plan for Nap Time
If your child still naps, schedule downtime into your day. There are plenty of shady spots and quieter areas to take a break or let them rest in the buggy.
  10. Meet the Characters
Don’t miss the chance to meet Peppa, George, baby Evie and their family. Check the schedule and arrive a little early to avoid long waits and secure a good photo spot.

Peppa Pig World Review

A day at Peppa Pig World is pure happiness for young fans of the series. While the rides are far from thrilling for adults, the smiles, excitement and immersion are what make it special. The park is clean, well organised and geared entirely towards family comfort. It’s not cheap, but for what’s on offer, it’s excellent value, especially when compared to larger UK theme parks.

If you can, visit during term time and arrive early. Plan ahead with the app, bring a picnic, and take it slow. For families with toddlers and preschoolers, Peppa Pig World is a magical first theme park experience that delivers exactly what it promises.
