Review: Dreamboys

Pryzm – Kingswest, West Street, Brighton, BN1 2RE – Selected weekends

If you’re after a wild, laugh-out-loud night out in Brighton, the Dreamboys show at Pryzm might be exactly what you’re looking for. It’s cheeky, high-energy and packed with just the right amount of muscle and mischief.

From the minute you walk into Pryzm, there’s a real buzz in the air. The bar is open throughout and the venue is full, mostly with women in the mood to celebrate.

Lasting two hours, the night is hosted by a fabulous drag queen who keeps everything flowing with quick wit, a decent voice and hilarious singalongs. She had everyone in stitches before the main acts even took to the stage.

There were three Dreamboys performing on the night, each bringing their own style and charm. Their routines were well choreographed, with plenty of audience interaction, dance, striptease and a good dose of humour.

It’s sexy without being sleazy. Whether they’re dressed as cowboys or suited up before revealing it all, the guys know exactly how to work the crowd and get huge cheers as they strut their stuff.

The only slight drawback is that the stage at Pryzm is on the smaller side, and at times it felt like the performers were a bit restricted. A bigger stage would definitely take the show up another notch and give the boys more room to dazzle the crowd.

Still, the energy never dropped, and the mix of dance, comedy and saucy surprises kept everyone fully engaged. By the end, the entire room was on its feet cheering.

After the show, there’s a photo op and meet and greet with the boys which the audience laps up.

Dreamboys in Brighton is a blast, a fun, feisty night out perfect for groups looking for something a little naughty.
