Fabulous Beyond’s Bougie Drag Bottomless Brunch at Pryzm, Brighton

The Bougie Drag brunch in Brighton was a dazzling spectacle of fierce fun, flamboyance and laughter. Held in Pryzm nightclub on West Street, it was impossible not to have a good time when you had free-flowing drinks, a meal and, most importantly, three fabulous drag queens ready to light up the room with their larger-than-life performances.

The queen leading the charge was La Belle, who made sure every single guest was on their feet, clinking glasses and joining in on cheeky toasts. As host, she kept the atmosphere playful and fun with quips, audience participation, killer dance moves and seriously impressive hair flips.

Joining La Belle was the fierce Jordan Horowitz who cranked things up a notch with her acrobatic talents, cartwheeling, doing the splits and dancing on tables. The crowd absolutely loved her, cheering her on as she performed with the kind of energy that could get anyone hyped.

Completing the trio was the fabulous Roxie Star who brought her own brand of sass to the stage. She owned it with powerful dance moves, great facial expressions and an attitude that kept everyone hooked. Every hair toss and strut was packed with confidence and her ability to work both the stage and the crowd was captivating.

There was a bit of a hiccup with the food with pre-ordered burgers unavailable due to a last-minute issue with the caterer. Pizza was ordered in instead which actually seemed like an upgrade. As soon as free Jager bombs were handed out, any minor complaints quickly disappeared.

The bottomless drinks were served for a generous 90 minutes with a choice of prosecco, cocktails, beer and soft drinks. If your drinks got low, you just had to lift up your jug or empty bottle and the attentive staff were on hand to top it up.

Each queen owned the stage with a mix of sass, confidence and a wardrobe that would make any pop superstar envious. Hair flips, sky-high heels, splits and expertly lip-synced numbers to hits from Rihanna, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Demi Lovato and other pop icons kept the crowd on their feet.

The queens didn’t just stay on stage either. They mingled with the audience, dancing on the tables and working their magic, bringing that personal touch that drag shows are so famous for.

Guests were invited to take part in the fun too. A catwalk competition and lip-sync battle had the participants strutting their stuff. The winner was clearly speechless when she walked away with a £200 voucher.

After more than three hours, as the clock ticked closer to 4pm, the brunch wound down with a final DJ set and the chance to grab a photo with the queens. It was the perfect way to wrap up the daytime debauchery.
