Rick Astley is bringing a bit of swing to the festive season this December with a new big band tour. The singer, best known for his iconic hits from the 1980s and beyond, has announced that he’ll be hitting the road to perform a mix of swing and Christmas classics in some of the UK’s most popular venues.
Astley’s love for the golden age of big band music has been no secret, and after the success of his 2022 Swinging Christmas shows, he’s ready to bring that magic back again. With the rich sound of a full swing band behind him, he’ll be performing some of his favourite festive tracks, promising a nostalgic trip through some real seasonal classics.

The tour kicks off on 13th December 2024 at the Brighton Centre, before moving on to Wolverhampton, Portsmouth, London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, Edinburgh and Manchester. Astley’s enthusiasm for the swing sound has only grown over the years, and this tour is the culmination of a lifelong passion for the genre.
Speaking about the upcoming shows, Astley said: “These classic songs have been a part of me for so long. Singing them with a big band was a dream come true. I can’t wait to share this special experience with you again this Christmas. See you there!”
In addition to his musical ventures, Rick is also gearing up to release his autobiography, Never, on 10th October 2024. In the memoir, Astley opens up about his life and career from his early years to his decision to step away from the limelight. To coincide with the book’s release, Rick will be embarking on a conversation tour, where he’ll share stories and insights from his life in music.

Fans of Astley can look forward to a double dose of nostalgia this festive season with both his swing tour and his new book, making for an exciting end to the year.
