John Bishop is hitting the road again to celebrate a huge milestone in his comedy career, 25 years of making people laugh. He’s just announced his new tour, John Bishop: 25, which will take him across the UK and Ireland with a stop at the Brighton Centre on Saturday 18th October 2025. This tour is a big one, marking a quarter of a century since Bishop first stepped on stage at Manchester’s Frog and Bucket comedy club back in 2000.
Bishop’s comedy journey started on 2 October 2000 when, while still working in the pharmaceutical industry, he took the plunge and performed his first-ever gig in front of a small crowd. Fast forward 25 years, and he’s become one of the biggest names in British comedy, known for his hilarious storytelling and down-to-earth style.
As a nod to where it all began, Bishop will return to the Frog and Bucket for a special performance on 13 October 2025, exactly 25 years to the day since his debut. Every ticket on the tour will be priced at £25 (plus fees). The tour kicks off on 2nd October 2025 in Plymouth and wraps up in Belfast on 1st November.
Reflecting on his career, Bishop said, “I can’t believe that next year it will be 25 years since I first performed at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester. It’s been a rollercoaster! And I can’t thank the fans enough who have supported me all the way. I wanted to mark the anniversary with a brand-new tour and do something to say thank you – so every ticket throughout the tour will be £25 I really hope you can come and celebrate with me.”

From sold-out arena tours to hit TV shows like John Bishop’s Britain and The John Bishop Show, he’s become a household name. He’s even had stints in acting, most recently starring in Doctor Who, and has taken on adventurous documentary series like John Bishop’s Gorilla Adventure.
